EOFTI is now hiring for several positions within our New York facility. EOFTI Selection Process:

Employment Form – to be filled in completely by candidate. Candidate will send completed enrollment form, copies of school transcripts, copies of any awards or meritorious achievements and other items the Candidate wishes to have in their placement folder for review by the Human Resource staff.

Initial Interview – The information on the Employment Form will be researched by an HR staff member prior to this meeting. This is the primary meeting between EOFTI Human Resource staff (up to 3 members in conference) and the Candidate. The information annotated on the Employment Form will covered in this meeting. This is an informal meeting and will be done via telephone.

Reference and Background Check – If the initial interview has been passed the next phase will be to validate the reference information on the Employment Form.  Additional information may be required.

Please do not send originals of any paperwork.

Medical Examination – the candidate will proceed to a medical physician of our choice to have a complete examination to determine eligibility. The costs for this exam will be covered by EOFTI.

Requirements of All Candidates:

  • Must be able to pass a criminal and financial background investigation
  • Must provide 4 references which will be validated and verified
  • Candidate must be firearms certified prior to employment
  • Candidate able to dead lift a 60 pound storage box from floor to trolley, 4 times without resting
  • Be of good moral turpitude
  • Team player who recognizes that there are other members of the organization
  • Able to work nights and weekends for the first 2 years.
  • Ability to work a 12 hour shift in case of emergency
  • Ability to work in a secure environment with no outside calls or access for the duration of the shift
  • Ability to pass a medical examination to verify candidates condition
  • Must have strong command of the English language, both orally and written
  • Basic computer skills are a necessity for this position
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and work ethics
  • Respond well to stressful and challenging situations

Security Officer Level II – Position #92006

Job Order Open Until:  Until Filled

Salary: $24.75 per hour

General Duties: the Security Officer will be responsible for maintaining the one access point for the facility and will often be moved to rover or made stationary in the vault chambers.

  • Security Officer will at all times monitor the Concierge and their Clients
  • Security Officer will ensure that uniforms are impeccable and that all necessary gear is in proper working order prior to the start of the shift.

Requirements: to maintain a perfect attendance record at all times. Security Officer II will be available for any shift and will be unable to refuse or trade shifts with other team members. Refusing a shift is grounds for immediate dismissal. This is an armed position.

A floating shift occurs monthly and the candidate must be aware that shift times will change. Security Officer II will be working in a secured, closed environment with no contact to the outside.  Security Officer II will need to be able to lift up to 60 pounds starting from a dead lift and gently place the storage box on a trolley for movement.

Concierge – Position #71197

Job Order Open Until:  December 20, 2011

Salary: $30.75

General Duties: The EOFTI Concierge is the main point of contact for a client when they enter the storage facility. The Concierge will validate the client, then, if client is verified, greet the client at the main door and proceed to show them to a secure, private viewing room. Time is of the essence and we do not wish our clients to wait too long in the man-trap.

Concierge will ensure that all viewing rooms are free from debris and in good working order. Concierge will ensure the beverage center is fully stocked at all times and that the privacy screens are in proper place. Concierge will also double as Security Officer when necessary and be armed at all times.

Upon client closing and securing their storage box(es), the Concierge will do a swipe of the storage box(es) for hazardous material prior to sending the storage  box to the vault. If a hazardous contaminant is found the concierge will swiftly cover the unit (details not addressed here) and sent to a clean room. Other details will follow in later interviews.
